Denny Sinnoh's "Akihabara Starlight"

I am sorry to report that I am locked out of Google and YouTube for a while.

Please email me at

NOT . GMail is what I use for my WordPress account, among others. If WP wants to send me any type of email on my account, I can’t verify the change from gmail.

My crime? I would not give them a phone/text number. It does not matter if I give them my password, or answer security questions. The evil monolith wants a phone number.

Stalin’s buddy: He helped created The Evil Empire. No, not the one in Bay Area California, you silly. But, yes it is the same mindset.

That, and I am a thought criminal.

  2. Surely you can change your email address without the old one?

    • I’m afraid to try
Wouldn’t WP send a verification to my gmail?

Otherwise anyone could create a dennysinnoh email on another email system.

      • It shouldn’t, and the support page says they’ll send the confirmation link to the new address. It doesn’t make sense for them to send it to the old address, and I don’t know of any other service that does that. This is secure because access to your account should be secure, so the only ones who have access to change your email are the ones who can get into your account, which is presumably only you (and staff). You can always contact support if you’re still unsure.

      • Thanks. Are all tech companies evil?
Just got the message this morning from AOL.

(I started an aol account back in 1995 — the dialup days. I kept it because I have historic contacts that I want to keep, and sometimes if I have to give an email that is not too personal I use it.)

Now there is “The Oath” that you have to give to this company that AOL sells my cookies to.

DON’T … TRUST … THEM … no matter what they say. Google, Facebook, Twitter all had execs testify before US Congress and lied through their teeth.

My AOL account is not anonymous, but I can see now with the changes to Google and others that it will be hard to have an anonymous account on the Internet anymore.

      • For what it’s worth, Oath is the company that owns AOL and Yahoo, which itself is owned by Verizon.

If you want an anonymous account, you just have to look in the right places and use the right services. Don’t go for the big and popular ones. I use Disroot.orgnow for my pseudonym email, and it comes with some other nice services as well. “Decentralized” is a common keyword.

      • I know it is not your problem, but since you are a computer-expert-person, I thought I would let you know.

I changed my profile from gmail to mail.
They sent a link to mail.
I replied back, and the mail address was still in my new profile.
The send button was grayed out I don’t know why.
It also took out my WP user image when I logged back in, but I have since replaced it.

I hope it works from now on.
