I love Japanese beer.  I love kimonos.  Put them together and you have my special topic for this week’s “Kimonos on Monday”.  I want to share this gallery of vintage Japanese beer ads, which feature women in kimonos.  You do not know how much I want a cold Bīru beer right now!!!

How did a “Bikini ad” get in here?

I am a fan of Sapporo!

I know that a “bikini ad” got in there somehow.  This is from the Sapporo Beer Museum, located at the Sapporo Brewery in Hokkaido, Japan.  There is a hallway which has posters of their vintage ads.  If one looks closely at the beach bikini Sapporo ad,  you will see that there is actually a reflection of a kimono ad to the left side, that the camera was able to pick up.   So it IS kimono-related : )
